The oldest house in CT is in Guilford, but that’s not why I’m here. I came for these exact chocolates. I lived here over 2 decades ago, when I was a toddler. The only things I remember are the idyllic town green, and these layered truffles, sold by a tiny chocolate shop that is still there.
That old house is just down the street from the town common, so I took a photo for the rally real quick, and made a coffee + chocolate stop. Now I’m sitting here, looking at the green, and savoring these things. They’re just as good as I remembered.
